We are all navigating through these changes and what they mean to us. Our Old Boys community spreads far wider than Hobart and Tasmania, across every state and territory in Australia and around the world including New York, London, Italy, Spain, and China. We’re mindful that there are many of us doing it really tough.

Now, more than ever, is a time for our community to reach out and support one another. We’re all in this together and we’re better equipped than most to get through this. Let’s remember the power of respect, kindness and empathy.

Together we’ll get through this but we all need to stand up. If we see an opportunity to lift others, let’s be that person to lend a hand. As we isolate, it's vital that we find new ways to remain connected and be there for each other while looking after ourselves.

Some handy prompts to help with mates who are doing it tough:
Talk with your mates.
Ask them how they’re doing.
Listen. Just listen.
Encourage action to get help if they need it.
Check in, follow up.

Tom Windsor ('99), HSOBA Vice-President
